'''Introduction'''

Real MYST is a recreation of the original MYST game in realtime 3D. It also has some new features, such as weather, and the new "Rime" age. While the original disc version is generally regarded as incompatible with newer OS's, the newer GOG.com and Steam versions are relatively stable.

Issues And Fixes

Crash on startup

The original disc version of the game usually tends to crash on startup when run by a newer OS. This isn't permanent though, and can be fixed by opening and closing the game a few dozen times.

Linux

The only way to run the game on Linux is through Wine. It works fine after installing These video Codecs. Installing the codecs will "fail", but the game will run fine after that.
