Key points

Also known as Sixense, the company Razer co-operated with during the controller's production run.
Allows motion controls in some non-VR games.[1]
Lacks native XInput support, requiring the use of a XInput wrapper (see Windows) for games that do not support the controller natively.
Not wireless.

Inputs

  • Motion sensing: weak magnetic field 6dof tracking system per controller
  • 2 controllers, each has:
    • 1 × clickable analog stick: ls/rs with button 6
    • 1 × analog trigger: lt/rt
    • 1 × digital shoulder button: lb/rb
    • 5 × digital action buttons: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (middle button)

Use with PC platforms

Windows

Requires FreePIE application to be able to emulate XInput devices and act like Xbox controller.
Users are able to use Razer Hydra in SteamVR. It requres SteamVR Driver for Razer Hydra - Used to emulate HTC Vive; requires an Oculus Rift.
OpenVR Razer Hydra driver - the driver emulates Valve Index or HTC Vive controllers using Razer Hydra controllers. The type of controllers is switched in the settings. Changeable keyboard button press and crouch are supported.

Linux

Hydrajoy - Emulates Linux's uinput module.
