Version differences

Original releases

The floppy disk release came in two versions: one which supported EGA exclusively, and one which supported MCGA and VGA.
The CD-ROM release supports MCGA and VGA exclusively and is the only release to have digitized voiceovers.

Digital releases

The King's Quest Collection, the collection on Steam, is not properly configured for modern systems[3]

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/10100/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (10100) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
