Operating systems
Fighters Anthology works without issue on Windows 95 and Windows 98. In Windows XP, the game runs slightly faster and the music does not work. In Windows 7, the game runs faster than on Windows XP and the music also does not work. For Windows 7, a batch file needs to created and used instead as the game is unable to load from the executable. Through Wine, the launcher and Jane's introduction both work but the game does not load. Windows 98 running in VirtualBox requires graphics drivers to be installed and set to at least 16 bit colours. VMWare installs the graphic drivers automatically for Windows 98.
Batch file
Copy and paste to a text editor. Name the file as FA.bat. Double click to run.

Crash to desktop
Fighters Anthology will rarely randomly freeze, invert colours and then crash to the desktop. There is no fix for this.
Save Game data
Default location for pilot profile:
C:\JANES\Fighters Anthology\PltXXX.p
(Pilot profiles (XXX.p) from ATF Gold can be used)
1.02F patch
The 1.02F Patch provides improvements for multiplayer and enables the weapon view window to function properly. It also fixes game speed problem on modern systems.
Fighters Anthology Tool Kit
The Fighters Anthology Tool Kit enables users to edit all variables in the entire game, change airbase locations on maps, extract LIBs and create custom LIBs.
The FATK can be downloaded here.
No-CD
A modified executable exists to run the game without CDs. It can be found here. All of the .lib files must be copied to the installation folder.
An alternative method is to mount the discs using WinCDEmu.
