Essential improvements
Patches
V1.17f and V1.12f
- This patch will not work for the Spanish version of the game.
The 1.17f patch is the latest official patch for the game. It fixes many of the crashing issues that earlier versions had, increases multiplayer stability, enhances the avionics\flight model, adds Direct3D support, along with many other things.
Modern Windows Patching
- F-15 cannot be started from a shortcut. It must be started from the executable it self or the main menu will be broken.
The menus for F-15 do not work correctly on Windows 7 and requires a DirectDraw wrapper to fix. ddwrapper is the only DirectDraw wrapper that works with F-15 currently. The simulation will work correctly if nGlide is used to emulate the 3dfx renderer.
