Windows

The controller works natively as a DirectInput controller; use DS4Windows by Jays2Kings to add XInput compatibility. InputMapper is a well-supported adware alternative.
You may want to enable the option "Hide DS4 Controller" so that some games don't detect two controllers at once, as well as "Start Minimized".

Supported Games

While most games require XInput, some games have native support for DirectInput and the DualShock 4. These include Far Cry 4, Trials Fusion, Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed Rogue and Grand Theft Auto V. (Although only the first 3 also show up the correct button prompts.)

Other information

Worn analog sticks are a known issue. If the controller is still under warranty contact Sony or the retailer for replacement instructions.[1] Worn sticks can also be replaced manually (follow this guide).
