Issues fixed

Game crashes on start

The game crashes on start. The game writes an error.log file showing the message "UnityPlayer.dll caused an Access Violation". This can be caused by a bug in the Unity framework conflicting with Citrix Workspace App. A workaround is available via uninstalling Citrix Workspace App and re-installing with some installation parameters that avoid this conflict.
Instructions[5]
  1. Uninstall Citrix Workspace App.
  2. If you still require the use of Citrix Workspace App then reinstall Citrix Workspace App but install from a command prompt, using the below command line:

CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe ADDLOCAL=ReceiverInside,ICA_Client,AM,SELFSERVICE,DesktopViewer,Flash,Vd3d,WebHelper,BrowserEngine"

Notes

  1. Unity engine build: 2017.4.4f1[2]
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/850980/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (850980) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.

The game attempted to boot but then prompted a Steam log-in when Steam was installed. Creating a steam_appid.txt with its App ID number inside allowed the game to play without Steam.
  4. Verified by User:Ptolemy on 2020-08-12
Tested with Special K and a Soulion Tracer 30, which reports as a 7.1 audio device using virtual surround sound mode.
