Issues fixed

OpenSSL Workaround[4]

The game may crash on systems using Intel 10th, 11th or 12th Gen CPUs due to an issue with OpenSSL 1.2.

  1. Open "Control Panel" by searching for it in Windows search bar, by pressing the Windows button or key.
  2. Go to "System & Security"
  3. Go to "System"
  4. Press "Advanced system settings"
  5. Press "Environmental Variables"
  6. Create a new "System Variable" (NOT USER VARIABLE)
  7. Enter the following into the Variable name box: OPENSSL_ia32cap
  8. Enter the following into the Variable value box: ~0x20000000
  9. Now press OK.

HDR Forced on

HDR is forced on with no way to disable through in-game settings (if the game detects hardware that technically supports it). In order to manually change the setting:

  1. Open %LOCALAPPDATA%\gravel\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini in your favourite text editor
  2. Add the following entries at the bottom of the file:
[SystemSettings]
r.HDR.EnableHDROutput=0
r.HDR.UI.CompositeMode=0
r.HDR.Display.OutputDevice=0
r.HDR.Display.ColorGamut=0
  1. Save the changes made to the file and start the game.
