D: The Game is a singleplayer first-person adventure game in the D series.

The PC version of the game has an interlaced presentation. Despite this, it is based on the PlayStation version, missing content from the "Director's Cut" version on the 3DO.

Essential improvements

Remove black scanlines

Removing black scanlines by using DOSBox SVN Daum
  1. Download DOSBox SVN Daum and extract it into <path-to-game>\DOSBOX overwriting any files when asked.
  2. Download fixvideo.fx and move it to <path-to-game>\DOSBOX\SHADERS
  3. Edit dosbox_d.conf with a text editor and change the line output=overlay to output=Direct3D.
  4. Add the line pixelshader=fixvideo.fx underneath and save.
Only works with the Direct3D renderer.
