Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream^{[Note 1]} is a singleplayer third-person JRPG game developed by Gust Co. Ltd. and published by Koei Tecmo. It is the twenty-third main installment in the Atelier series and the fourth entry in the Mysterious subseries.

A direct sequel to Atelier Sophie and chronologically takes place before the event of Atelier Firis, it once again follows the first game's protagonist Sophie Neuenmuller.

It was released worldwide on February 25, 2022.

Issues fixed

Heavy stutters without a controller

The game will stutter every few seconds if a controller cannot be found. Possible solutions:

physically plug any controller into your computer
simulate a "fake" virtual XInput controller using Key2Joy or Special K

Note: Special K does not work with Atelier Sync Fix.

Note 2: The game disables MnK input once it detects a controller. vJoy is not recommended as it is not PlugNPlay. Enabling and disabling vJoy will permanently lock the game to controller input.
